Jameel Arts Centre

The Jameel Arts Centre is an exhibition space, artist residence, and creative enterprise incubator overlooking Dubai Creek.

Conceived as a family of forms bounded by a colonnade, its massing and spatiality draws from the rich architectural tradition of the region.

The colonnade is an active social space, framing gardens and enlivening the waterfront promenade.

Courtyards are galleries of nature, places for gardens and sculpture.

And they are spaces of repose between galleries.

The Centre’s design fragments the courtyard, continually layering a relationship between inside and outside, art and nature.
