Burdened by such an event, we wanted to avoid monumentalizing the grief and crippling the lived space of today with the over-riding memory of a tragic event. Instead we believe that the square should gain a life of its own; being comfortable with the idea of an empty and contemplative empty square and fluctuates from silent emptiness to raucous fullness.
